For this activity the students are introduced to Eric Karl and learn to create their own collages. Students paint papers and cut out their drawings from the papers to make their storybook collages.
Extension Activity:
For this activity I will introduce the lesson by reading an Eric Karl book. I will then teach the students how to create their own collages. Students will have to choose a topic for a storybook they want to create. Each student will create their own page of the storybook with a collage. When finished with the collages we will put each page together and make a book for the classroom.
