Lesson Summary:
In this lesson we created glasses using cellophane to be able to see our animals that we created for our hidden safari. We chose a cool color to draw our animal with. We chose an animal that we could find in our hidden safari. After we drew the animal we created patterns using warm colors to hid our animal. Because the animal was drawn using cool colors we could only see it using our glasses. After creating our animal with the pattern over it we created a border around our drawing.
Extension Activity:
To add onto this activity in my classroom I would teach the students about different wildlife in Africa. I would teach students about the food chain and then assign an animal in the food chain to each student. After the students draw their assigned animal I would ask them to use their glasses to put the animals in order of how they would be on the food chain and I would then display them that way.
